Work directly with job seekers, primarily in and out of school youth, employers, educational facilities, and human resources agencies to assist with employment and training related activities in a PA CareerLink setting and provide quality workforce delivery services as a partner within the Pocono Counties Workforce Development Area. Responsibilities and Duties:> Provide individual career counseling and support to clients as needed;> Create Paid Work and On the Job training opportunities for youth in the county.> Supervise and coach youth in work and paid work experience positions.> Offer Career Readiness curriculum, presentations and activities in local schools and community groups. > Sit on, and present to local community groups that support the youth employment and programming in the county and surrounding areas. > Administer career and life skills assessments and CASAS tests. > Work with clients to develop individual training plans based on assessment of client needs;> Collaborate on client recruitment and orientation efforts to inform potential participants of program benefits and responsibilities;> Understand and track the labor market to inform and guide the workforce team and career center for effective outcomes for customers;

● Advise all freshman Act 101 students and selected provisionally admitted students.● Advise freshmen primarily in areas of General Biology, the Environmental Sciences and Criminal Justice as wellas the dual Criminal Justice/Psychology majors in the School of Arts and Sciences.● Revamp and continue to revise, maintain, and teach Success Class for students on Academic Probation.● Assign advisors and create schedules for all incoming freshmen.● Track, assess and evaluate relevant cohorts and statistics to reveal trends and best practices.

● Teach incoming freshman facts and skills needed for them to be a successful college student.● Instruct exclusive class for low income/academically at-risk students, targeting issues that are unique to the population in order to assist with matriculation.

Recruit and sign all eligible students into the program.Create an academic plan for each student, each semester.Aid in the grant writing process.Act as secondary academic advisor for program students.Point person for the Pennsylvania Department of Education Act 101 Program reports at Keystone College.Advocate for program students in any area that may affect their academic performance.Work with faculty and other campus offices to support students. Participate in question and answer sessions with parents and students during orientation.Perform a statistical analysis of student grades.Hire and supervise student assistants.Create all Act 101 reports.

● Performed assessment of CDC internal tracking data and first destination report to provide moreinsight to student services in this area.● Assisted students in completion of FOCUS2 career assessment and Career Plan documents,designed to help students map out their career goals.● Presented an overview of FOCUS2 and Career Plan to FYS classes.

Support and facilitate the daily operations of Student Support Services to include Act 101, Keys and Summer Bridge Program.Perform a statistical analysis of student grades for each program.Hire and supervise 8 to 10 student assistants.Create all Act 101 and Support Service reports.Instrumental in the Act 101 Grant writing process. Create and monitor yearly office supplies, lending library, tutoring, and activity budgets for Act 101 and Student Support Services.Create and distribute student mailings (and e-mails).

Respond to phone inquiries/operated multi-line phone system.Draft key correspondence to clients.Interact with all departments, often as a liaison for clients. Interpret and Report statistics and perform data entry. Engage in problem solving.
