When it comes to organization, my ducks are always in a row. I love Google Keep and I would be lost without my calendar. When in the classroom, time was crucial. If I didn’t manage my time skillfully, I’d be letting down my students. I eat chaos for breakfast – every day is unique, and you never know what will throw you off track. My discipline is confirmed by it holding the top spot on my StrengthsFinder assessment. I’ve learned that being organized and having a plan is the best tool for adapting to changing priorities and making sure I know where to pick back up. In my classroom, I had to display a positive attitude even in the midst of high stress and my DISC assessment reaffirms that point.My former students’ parents would say my communication rocks thanks to my timely responses, consistent reminders via social media, as well as my website that contained everything they would possibly need. I’m an Enneagram type 9 (Peacemaker) which helps me build strong relationships. Every assessment I have taken reinforces that my strengths are in relationship-building, collaboration, and encouraging others by seeing their raw potential and investing in their development. When on the Sunshine Committee at school, we would shine our light on people who need to be celebrated for accomplishments and life events.Being self-motivated, I created and designed original instructional materials to share with my team. Creating and designing was one of my favorite parts of teaching. My flex was being tech savvy and providing resources quickly to my fellow teachers. I frequently use Microsoft Office, the full Google suite of tools, and Canva.I have become a pro at planning, organizing, designing, problem-solving, maintaining documentation, assessing, implementing, and analyzing data when managing and leading projects.
