I founded and managed an organization called Gluten Free Calgary: an online community and resource centre for people living in gluten-free in Calgary, and beyond. We utilized social channels as well as our website and blog to share gluten-free recipes, restaurant and product recommendations as well as relevant information for the community. As a community-powered organization, we relied on everyone to share with us so that we may make all the information easily accessible for all. We had volunteers that wrote recipe blogs for us, as well as a social media program called the Voice of GFYYC that allowed community-members to manage our social networks for a week, sharing with everyone what and where they are eating gluten-free. We even launched Gluten Free Goodie Bags, a subscription box featuring gluten-free products and local restaurants/businesses. I am proud to say I sold this business in July 2017 and it continues to run today!
