GOOD DOCS is a documentary distributor that connects award-winning social justice documentaries with wider educational communities. My role as the Outreach Marketing & Research intern is to watch newly released documentaries and deeply understand the filmmakers' missions in order to find the right people and spheres to connect them with for maximum revenue and social impact.More specifically, I:- Watch and identify key themes in social justice documentaries, spanning topics such as Criminal Justice, Indigenous Studies, Environment & Sustainability, Immigration Rights, Queer Studies, and more- Research universities, non-profit organizations, conferences, and academic journals that align with each documentary- Log and cross-reference contacts in a comprehensive media and community outreach list- Work closely with a dynamic non-profit team

I led clients through the process of custom embroidery at a locally-owned Vancouver shop: handled all customer communication, scheduled and took consultation appointments, designed embroidery art via specialized software, operated industrial embroidery machines, and implemented new ways to streamline customer communication.

Responsible for the content and engagement on multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and Spotify) for an independent magazine focusing on the intersection of sustainability, art, and social justice. Co-led a team of 10 and worked with a full volunteer team of over 25 to translate the values of the magazine into digestible, engaging and interactive social media posts.

A not-for-profit Vancouver streetwear brand grounded in artistic collaboration and community engagement. I designed and marketed clothing products for a global audience via social media, and was responsible for leading their fundraising campaigns in which the profit from every product purchased went towards a different local cause each month. I developed social media posting schedules, tracked insights across all platforms and collaborated with local artists, musicians and filmmakers to execute publicity campaigns. In the first three days of the brand launch, Smoodi accrued thousands of dollars worth of sales from 7 different countries and a 125% follower increase on social media platforms.

Responsible for bringing in new monthly donors for UNICEF's on-the-ground aid to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
