I work alongside Dr. Wesley Lackey, first assisting in total and partial knee replacements and hip replacements. I see postoperative patients in clinic and perform hip and knee steroid injections.

Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan Area

In collaboration with seven surgeons, two PAs, residents and fellows, I evaluated and treated patients at two hospitals. I performed admissions, consults, progress notes, and discharges. Most commonly I treated diverticulitis, small and large bowel obstructions, colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, anorectal diseases, and postoperative complications. I first assisted in numerous cases including laparoscopic and open partial or total colectomies, ileostomy and colostomy revisions and takedowns, and anorectal procedures. I ran my own clinic and frequently performed bedside procedures. I utilized problem-based charting in EPIC in both ambulatory and inpatient settings.

After graduating from Taylor University in May of 2013 and moving to Indianapolis in June, I began serving as a waitress at On the Border Restaurant in Greenwood, IN the summer before PA school. I worked 20-30 hours a week in the summer, and once school started I worked 1-2 shifts a week through my first semester.
