The duties of the position include mentoring Infrastructure and Database staff and time management with the team, maintaining multiple database server security, functionality and optimization, managing database changes and the extensive replication system, evaluation and implementation of database tools, SQL Server stored procedure programming, managing and implementing database migrations and upgrades, creation and management of SSIS ETL processes for vendor data feeds, automation of database processing and data movement between database servers, working with the systems engineers to implement or maintain multi-server interdependencies, creation and management of SSRS reporting, assisting with additional report maintenance and creation using multiple tools including Power BI, Idera Diagnostic Manager, Redgate SQL Toolbelt. As part of maintenance and upgrade of database server infrastruction, I have built and migrated instances to AlwaysOn Availability Groups and VMWare Failover Clusters.
