Junior Climate Advisor
CurrentNature-based Carbon Projects:- Conduct due diligence to identify risks related to our partners and countries of operation.- Oversee financial reporting and accounting, ensuring local partners manage budgets and execute project assignments correctly.- Collaborate with external auditors for thorough financial oversight.- Create detailed maps from drone footage using Pix4D, and label polygons of plantings in ArcGIS and QGIS.- Work extensively with NGOs and local partners in less economically developed countries such as The Gambia and Indonesia.- Perform market analysis on carbon pricing by engaging and interviewing market actors, applying insights to our projects.Bioenergy:- Collect and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the bioenergy department to the director.- Calculate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for biomass deliveries, with proficiency in R and Radix.- Ensure compliance with certification schemes such as FSC and SBP.Biogenic Carbon Capture:- Partially responsible for the development and execution of the first Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) plan for a pioneering biogenic carbon capture project set to commence in 2026.- Collaborate with various stakeholders involved in the joint venture, including consultants, buyers (e.g., Microsoft), and other participating companies.- Collaborating with Verra on the development of their new biogenic carbon capture standard.
