Senior Advisor, Corporate Strategy & Collaboration Initiatives
Vancouver, Canada Area
My work spanned a diversity of strategic planning, project management, stakeholder engagement, and business analysis work, including the following.I planned and led initiatives central to the organization’s overall strategic direction, including development of three iterations of the Board Strategic Plan. This included several two-day Board workshops, which I planned and co-facilitated. I also designed the corporate performance monitoring dashboard in consultation with board and worked with developers to have it implemented.I acted as project manager for the development of a web app for use by the film industry and local governments, transforming the regional film application process. This involved an ongoing, dynamic stakeholder engagement process; the modelling of complex business processes; standardizing processes of multiple partners; and a quick, iterative project management process.I led the business case development of Metro Vancouver's Regional Economic Prosperity service (now investvancouver.ca) and managed its stakeholder engagement process with leadership groups, then transitioned the new service to permanent staffing. Work involved: developing a project plan to facilitate discussions and decision-making for groups of executive leaders from around the region; preparing reports and presentations for Metro Vancouver Board & Committees that resulted in the successful creation of a new regional service; overseeing development of external websites & other communications for various audiences; managing contractors.I led stakeholder engagement processes on key strategic initiatives including the implementation of a development cost charge program and regional climate adaptation.I advised on other projects, including the development of the Resilient Region Strategic Framework (developing principles and high level objectives in consultation with senior management and political committees), and implementation of an equity approach into the Clean Air Plan.
