Having lived in 5 countries on 4 continents and learned to speak foreign languages, I enjoy exploring new territories, understanding different cultures and working with people far from where I am based. This is why I enjoy working for global organizations, while I admit that it sometimes comes with challenges, and also why I want to help people overcome the challenges and enjoy what they do. Through my professional life I explored various business functionalities (finance, operations, sales and marketing) and industries (export/import, investment, consulting, medical device/education, publishing, Information services and IT services). Over the past 14 years I have been in charge of the business management to bring IT-based products and services to Japan and Asian markets leading multiple functional teams. My broad experience let me do my job to help various members and teams respect each other, collaborate effectively and get things done together. I take time to listen and understand what the organization needs form my team and what the market needs from the company, then accordingly customize what we do and how we do things. Cultural differences often become challenges when corporations do business abroad, and I can devise changes and adjustments in strategy, marketing, sales, finance and operations to overcome the challenges. I am excited to help my customers explore foreign practices and gain benefits by adopting new ways of thinking and doing things. I am fortunate that I worked and work for great companies that contribute to the society through their business. I welcome those who join us to do what we take pride in, and am here to help them succeed.When I'm not at work, I am exploring new waters and mountains, appreciating the beautify of nature, riding various surfboards, trying to improve my techniques to turn on waves and enjoying hot springs and local foods after a day out in the nature.
