TISA is about shaping global mobility standards for a sustainable future.Together with its members TISA creates and maintains global, traffic and traveller information standards (TMC, TPEG) and policies. Purpose is to foster a level-playing field for business, create customer and society value as well as improve the sustainability of travel.

Large, world-wide expertise in development and deployment of TPEG (Traffic Protocol Experts Group) and TMC (Traffic Message Channel) protocols and related service chain topics in the automotive industry.Investigating Information Services for Automated Driving.Member Steering Board of TISA, the Traveler Information Services Association (www.tisa.org). TISA is the care taker of the TMC and TPEG standards. Joint-chair of the Technical and Standardisation Committee within TISA.Recently, as project coordinator, I concluded an international eco-system field trial project with the German Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK). Project topic: to bring Emergency Alerts and Warnings to the vehicle. The need for this became readily apparent with the flooding events of last year’s summer in Germany and the Benelux.
