Teuns Moolman is a Business Support & Operations Specialist with extensive experience in Voice Routing, GSM-based distribution networks and a variety of Information System Technologies, Systems and Environments. As an ex-COBOL programmer / Data Technologist out of the South African Government, he has had substantial exposure in the development, deployment and support of a variety of technologies and large scale systems over a period spanning more than 20 years. With vast customer service experience on a variety of technologies and platforms he gained in the Private Sector after leaving the South African Police Service and Government, Teuns is ideally positioned as a service and support management resource understanding both the technical and business realms. His exposure ranges from traditional COTS products and software through to some of the latest OSS projects spanning a variety of technologies and market environments. Teuns is currently a distance learning student on the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Edinburgh Business School of Heriot Watt University in the United Kingdom. He has a keen business interest in the application of Commercial Credit Circuits (C3) and mobile banking applications, focussing on their application and effectiveness within the current global financial and socio-economic environments. In this regard, Teuns is avidly following research and development done in these environments; especially research work on alternative currencies as done by Professor Bernard A. Lietaer. In his free time, Teuns dabbles in electronics, music, sound, alternative energy, hydroponics and all gadgets and matters of “sufficient” technical nature. As part of his community focus and passion, he serves as the Technical Director of Radio Kuber Kontrei, where he also hosts a radio show titled "Hoor Jy of Luister Jy". Teuns has three sons and live and work in the greater Pretoria / Johannesburg area of Gauteng, South Africa.
