In my work at Hachette Book Group I provide daily support to the Special Market Sales team with their respective sales channels: Author, Premium, Retail, Wholesale and Direct Response sales. I respond in a timely and professional manner to accounts' requests and needs. Once sales have been coordinated I assist accounts with the logistics of the process. For each sale I assist with I am responsible for providing updates to all parties. Recently, I have coordinated and seen through sales on my own. In order to guarantee a sale, I have to work with different parties simultaneously, i.e. accounts, credit reps and editors. Along with one of my managers, I am responsible for our Commissioned Reps sales from all across the country. This has required travel for sales meetings as well as gift shows. In my work with the Reps I provide monthly commission reports, which require very close attention to detail. In my daily tasks I- Prepare presentations for sales meetings - Provide accounts with weekly updates on their recent purchases - Run sales reports on demand for team members, as well as a monthly sales summaries with year over year comparisons- Work on several marketing mailings aimed at existing and prospective clients- Perform administrative tasks for the head of the department, such as book travel, create and maintain expense reports
