A native of Detroit, Tevin attended Grand Rapids Community College where he graduated with an Associate of Arts. He furthered his education at the University of Minnesota – Crookston receiving a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Organizational Psychology. Throughout Tevin’s college career he was a successful student-athlete. Through the game of football, Tevin quickly became a notable name at both institutions.He joined the S.A.F.E. Michigan Team in August 2014, as a 24/7 security officer. In 2015, he joined and excelled in the Ford Field’s Executive Protection Unit, leading him to become a shift supervisor in 2016. Because of his consistency and diligence, Tevin had an opportunity to work several events such as 4 Super Bowls, NCAA March Madness, Detroit Lions games, UofM Home Football Games, MAC Championships, Quick Lane Bowl, Super Cross, Monster Jam; as well multiple concerts: Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Garth Brooks, Luke Combs, Guns & Roses, One Direction, AC/DC, and Luke Bryan.In 2016, Tevin attended the Detroit Police Academy where he graduated as Class President and received The Outstanding Performance Award. Upon his completion of the Detroit Police Academy in 2017, he returned to S.A.F.E. as the Security and Events Manager. Some responsibilities include, but not limited to: managing the 24/7 daily operations for Ford Field, Allen Park (Lions Practice Facility), overseeing all security staff, scheduling, training, performance reviews, interviews and building security practices for tenants and clients.In September of 2021 he joined the Detroit Lions Security Team.
