I conduct quantitative and qualitative research on foreign audiences in support of the State Department's public diplomacy mission

I work in Fors Marsh Group (FMG)'s Advanced Analytics on the Quantitative Methods team. In my role, I support our project teams on complex quantitative analyses, assist with designing research projects, and ensure that client deliverables have been thoroughly checked through our quantitative quality control process. Some examples of work I have done include:- I conduct research supporting the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)'s COVID-19 vaccination public education campaign. Specifically, I've worked on analyzing the effect of campaign advertising on vaccination uptake using statistical models and design-based causal inference methods.- Built and refined a predictive model used to classify survey respondents into market segments based on career interests and attitudes towards Army service on a project supporting the US Army Enterprise Marketing Office. The model was built in Python but implemented inside Stata so it could be integrated into our data management team's workflow.- Lead trainings and internal knowledge shares on Stata for new users, task automation in R and Stata, and mapping/GIS applications in R. I also help administer our internal quality control certification process.

- Researched and produced reports on data published by countries' national statistical offices that will be published as part of the 2018 Open Data Initiative project.- Reviewed other assessors’ work by verifying data records and scoring decisions.

Bloomington, Indiana Area

- Analyzed 25,000 Russian-language blog posts using structural topic modelling in a case study of the effect of Crimea’s annexation on opposition politics in Russia.- Analyzed data from cross-national surveys to answer research questions on voting for European populist political parties, support for authoritarianism in Russia and other topics.- Collected original datasets from international and domestic sources on topics related to public opinion, voting behavior, protest events and elections. - Completed 3 case studies of election results in Europe and Russia using multi-level regression modelling of political, economic and social data taken from national and international databases.- Collected data and wrote literature reviews as part of team researching Russian elections.- Created and analyzed protest event dataset for project on election protests in Russia’s regions, using national and local media, including information on event participation, location, duration, etc.- Delivered original research presentations on radical right parties, voting behavior, protest movements and social media discourse.

- Authored strategic communications products (memos, talking points, briefings) for Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) and other senior leaders on tight deadlines. - Interviewed agency SMEs on IT portfolio management reform and IT programs for DCIO briefings to industry, media and agency leadership.- Coordinated DCIO communications within the NOAA Office of the Chief Information Officer and with agency leadership.

- Managed budgets for 5-10 simultaneous international projects. - Coordinated actions of USG clients and TMC in-country staff, ensuring that clients had proper transportation, lodging, language services and meeting support while traveling. - Organized overseas conferences (venues, lodging, travel, etc.) for Department of Defense and Department of Energy clients.

- Responsible for updating www.peaceinthecaucasus.org on a daily basis and tracking news developments in the North Caucasus in both English and Russian- Wrote weekly news summary and analysis on issues in the North Caucasus- Compiled statistics from news reports on violent incidents in Chechnya, Dagestan and Ingushetia for publication in a monthly report

- Taught English as a foreign language to students of all ages and levels in a suburb of Moscow, Russia- Created in-depth analysis of students in order to pinpoint areas where improvement was most needed and which teaching methods were most appropriate

Wrote stories for publication for a daily news outlet. Responsible for reporting and writing stories assigned from editors and developing own story ideas. Topics covered included Internet censorship in Iran and China, government regulation of internet services and internet piracy issues, among others.
