As the first assignment for Zipper, I am back at Nynas working with their Virtual Infrastructure and storage area network solutions.Currently we are consolidating the number of VMware hosts to cut down on license costs for VMware, Microsoft and other 3rd party products that are in use today for the virtual infrastructure. At the same time, we are moving.

Virtualization consultantConducted prestudy for virtualization projects for a number of customers for Qbranch: Albihns and PayEx were the biggest projects. The prestudy at Albihns lead to a virtualization projects where I installed the entire infrastructure (blade-rack, bladeservers, EVA SAN Storage system, fiberchannel switches, network switches etc).

The biggest projects for Electrolux was with virtualization, the first VMware cluster we set up was locally in Stockholm with new physical hardware (servers, SAN, fiberchannel switches etc). This cluster was just consisting of 2 physical ESX hosts at first, it was later extended with another host.Then I designed, implemented and managed the Virtualization.

I was a team member for the standardization projects, GOA and POPS. Travelling to various sites around Europe to upgrade the infrastructure to the new standard servers and clients.My normal workplace was in the Operations Center where I acted as 2nd level support for the standard client and server platforms.
