Running my own business as a consultant, taking on assignments within Infrastructure Architecture, Server- and Client Virtualization and IT Management in the Monterey Bay area. Area included is San Jose in the north to Carmel in the south, King City in the South East and Gilroy in the North East.Also have a home office so working remotely is an excellent choice if your business requires my services and is not located in the near region.Moved to Kihei on Maui, Hawaii in May 2015. Name changed to Maui IT-Partner and we are now servicing the Hawaiian islands with IT services.

This role includes operational and administrative responsibility for Nynas global architectural server infrastructure.I am also expected to coordinate internal resources and key suppliers in order to maintain best mix of cost efficiency and performance.Furthermore, I also hold a 3rd level support function within the server operations team. My manager also expects a certain level of assistance with planning and submitting budgets for the next years plan.

As the first assignment for Zipper, I am back at Nynas working with their Virtual Infrastructure and storage area network solutions.Currently we are consolidating the number of VMware hosts to cut down on license costs for VMware, Microsoft and other 3rd party products that are in use today for the virtual infrastructure. At the same time, we are moving from ESX to ESXi and booting from USB Flash card to remove depencies on SAN and local disks to run the ESX servers as well as preparing for the future since ESXi will be the only available product from VMware in the future.

Virtualization consultantConducted prestudy for virtualization projects for a number of customers for Qbranch: Albihns and PayEx were the biggest projects. The prestudy at Albihns lead to a virtualization projects where I installed the entire infrastructure (blade-rack, bladeservers, EVA SAN Storage system, fiberchannel switches, network switches etc), installed and configured VMware including VirtualCenter. Then we migrated about 90% of their physical servers to virtual servers.I then took on an assignment for Nynas where I acted as team leader and technical expert in the Microsoft server team. Nynas already had a pretty large virtual infrastructure that I managed together with the local VMware administrator and external resources.

The biggest projects for Electrolux was with virtualization, the first VMware cluster we set up was locally in Stockholm with new physical hardware (servers, SAN, fiberchannel switches etc). This cluster was just consisting of 2 physical ESX hosts at first, it was later extended with another host.Then I designed, implemented and managed the Virtualization solution for Electrolux european datacenter in Italy. This is continuosly growing but when I left Electrolux, it was consisting of 14 ESX hosts and about 200 virtual servers.

I was a team member for the standardization projects, GOA and POPS. Travelling to various sites around Europe to upgrade the infrastructure to the new standard servers and clients.My normal workplace was in the Operations Center where I acted as 2nd level support for the standard client and server platforms.
