Basic reseach in thin films of indium oxide, Characterisation of laser damage in ZnSe material for high power laser lenses. The work included SEM, TEM and work with sputtering systems and optical characterisation of indium oxide thin films. Admittedly I did not have a Ph.D. degree, but my 9 years of experience from FORCE was considered equivalent experience.

After merging with the Danish Welding Institute a.o. to form FORCE Technology, I joined the laser welding and surface treatment group, to charaterise laser surface treatments. I worked on several European and Nordic projects regarding laser surface treatment.

I worked with surface characterisation, using SEM/EDS, x-ray diffraction, XRF and optical microscopy. Specialized in the determination of residual stress in metal surfaces by x-ray diffraction.I was also involved in the analysis of diffusion data from chloride diffusion into concrete. This was part of the work on selecting the concrete type for the Great.

I worked as an assistant in the Laboratory of Applied Physics for Inge Hansson. The work included work on degradation of polymers by ultrasonics, and initial work on ultrasonic fatigue equipment.
