Despite wearing many hats in my career, I’ve always been a Development Manager (even if not being named that way). As a result of being an ITIL certified Manager with strong technology background for more than 14 years now, I have a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects. I always search for improvements and ways to make things work better, so that the primary goal, which is to deliver results to the management/customer/market, is always achieved. I’m constantly focused on one thing – to get a product/service out of the door so that work gets done without drama and everyone gets what they want.That often means being the “man in the middle”, pulled in different directions by management, customers, developers etc. But as I like multitasking, I’m comfortable prioritising several tasks at once. Being a multi-disciplinary Manager also requires me to communicate effectively at all levels of the business, and with both technical and non-technical people.As a team leader I always make sure the team is able to work as efficiently as possible and that nothing prevents them from doing their work.
