I've been building applications, services, tools and libraries for business, spatial, mapping, remote sensing, and mobile use cases for going on two decades. I used to say "One day there will be no mistakes left to make!" but I've given up on that now!I currently work with a very wide range of technologies, developing custom applications on a project basis. I also work with large organisations of all stripes developing information systems and productivity tools, and helping to shape strategy and architecture in my areas of expertise.I've been technical lead on many complex full stack applications, specified and developed enterprise services and applications on and off the cloud, developed products, plug-ins and platforms, and worked widely as a solution and integration architect.One common thread for me has been geographical and remote sensed data: whether it is being processed, analysed, served, visualised or animated.I've written a lot of code in C#, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript and many others. Types of problems are more decisive than your pet technologies. Everywhere you go there's a fresh context and a team with different needs. After a year in Perth working on advanced spatial applications for the regulation of mining exploration in Western Australia, I am currently back in Darwin on Larrakia country—but also returning to Perth in December!
