Thomas Munro-O'Brien, Meng Email and Phone Number
As a consulting propulsion engineer and a PhD candidate in astronautical engineering at the University of Southampton, I am passionate about advancing the field of plasma propulsion and enabling innovative space missions. My research focuses on designing, manufacturing, and testing high specific impulse Hall effect thrusters, which offer attractive thrust to power ratios and reliability for small satellites. I have published two papers in prestigious conferences, presenting the results of my experimental campaigns with various propellants, such as krypton, xenon, and magnesium. In addition to my academic work, I also collaborate with Pulsar Fusion LTD, a leading company in the development of fusion propulsion systems, where I provide consulting services and technical support. I apply my skills in Python, Simulink, MATLAB, SolidWorks, and LabVIEW, as well as my practical experience from long duration laboratory work, to help the company achieve its goals and overcome its challenges.I am always eager to learn new things, expand my network, and contribute to the advancement of the space industry. I am looking for opportunities to collaborate with other researchers, engineers, and organizations that share my vision and values.
