Global Lead Closures engineer of MY17 Escape.• Delivered new Liftgate assembly on time, selecting the most suitable material for each component, and creating the geometry via master sections.• Applied solutions to a global common Liftgate design which met different bill of processes located in 5 plants where the vehicle was built. • Led the as acting supervisor multiple times through 2014 and 2015.• Assigned to train two new engineers and a trainee. As result, the two engineers are fully engaged in different programs within the company; additionally, the company offered a permanent job to the trainee.• Conducted a liftgate system benchmark to compare competitors and in-house designs to understand strengths and areas of opportunities in our future designs.• Optimized the liftgate panel timing plan by defining and optimizing tasks needed to fully develop new liftgate panels using the last fifteen programs as statistical data. As a conclusion, two improvements were applied to the overall timing plan.• While working as a Closures Engineer from 2012 to 2014, I completed MIT's SDM program. I was assigned two years to work at Ford Product Development Center in Detroit, MI, creating synergies between US and MEX teams. For example, I supported the development of the Liftgate commodity generic DFMEA document.
