With over 14 years experience in Healthcare IT, it is beginning to feel like home. I provide backend support for healthcare applications. I design and support the hospital infrastructure using VMware, Citrix, NetApp, PaloAlto, and a Cisco switched infrastructure. I analyze goals and challenges of the organization to design and high performing and sustainable solution. Often creating and following department standards to assure stability while still being innovative.I work with the Security team to implement technology and follow industry best practices to maintain secure enterprise systems.Prioritizing schedules and projects in an every changing environment to meet required deadlines.Mentor and work with co-workers to share knowledge and grow as a team.

I worked as a Systems Administrator supporting the server, storage and network infrastructure for a wide variety of hospital applications. I supported a 10 VMware 5.1 hosts running on Cisco UCS blade servers with data stores on NetApp NFS and FC storage. Our supported operating systems include Windows server 2000, 2003, 2008 R2, and 2012. I also supported our Citrix XenApp 6.5 server farm utilizing provisioned disks (PVS), Edgesight and SmartAuditor. I was the lead administrator in deploying an SSO solution using Inprivata and roaming Citrix sessions.

My position at SoundSide Group was a systems consultant supporting small to medium size clients. I designed and implemented solutions for customers using Windows servers (2003 & 2008) and networking solutions including Cisco routers, switches and ASA firewalls. Common software deployed was Microsoft Server, Symantec Endpoint security, Microsoft Exchange, Veritas/Symantec Backup Exec.

Provided support for our primary client, JLG industries. Areas supported include; McAfee EPO, Lotus Notes, Microsoft SMS, VMware, and Citrix Presentation Server. I worked extensively with updating a custom VB scripting process for PC deployment where I gained experience with packaging and deploying software.

My responsibilities included everything from server design and deployment to PC repair. I led a team project to deploy Windows XP and Office 2003 to all client computers. I also managed and monitored the corporate backups using various versions of ArcServe. Some of the applications supported at Patriot included Symatar, Exchange 2000, Citrix Presentation Server 4.5, and Microsoft Office.

In my first computer position I quickly gained valuable experience in supporting server operating systems, Microsoft small business server with Exchange, Cisco routing and switching, Symantec Corporate edition antivirus, and a variety of other applications. I rapidly became the lead on site consultant and designed many successful solutions.
