Tracy Gershon is a noted entertainment industry and business leader with over 20 years of experience developing and executing visionary and revenue growth producing strategies. Tracy is an expert in the nurturing and development of influential talent as an A&R and music publishing executive, and excels as an artist manager. She is adept at hiring and leading high-achieving diverse teams, and cultivating successful and long lasting relationships with artists and industry leaders. Proud achievements include the signing of award-winning artists, such as Miranda Lambert,and Kacey Musgraves, while providing guidance and coaching to support the careers of many other artists, including Brandi Carlile Blake Shelton, Randy Travis, Gretchen Wilson, The Wreckers, Faith Hill , Big & Rich, Lori McKenna, and many more.While at Sony Music, she served as an on-air judge and associate producer on the USA Network's "Nashville Star", and recently led the A&R department at indie label, Rounder Records, where she signed or worked with artists as diverse as Blackberry Smoke, Sean McConnell, Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck, Sara Evans, Jack Ingram and Mark O’Connor. In association with Red Light Management, she currently oversees and provides leadership and career guidance for the artist, Natalie Stovall.As a passionate community activist, one of Tracy's proudest accomplishments is the co-founding of "Change The Conversation," a coalition addressing gender bias within the music industry. The group fosters a community of female executives and artists, showcases rising female talent, and has hosted special events with groundbreaking singers Wanda Jackson and Reba McEntire.Tracy is also a founding board member of Nashville Music Equality whose mission is to create an anti-racist environment in the Nashville music industry . She has also served her community as an active and dedicated NARAS board member for over 20 years, serving four terms on the Board of Governors and currently serves as a National Trustee. She has served on the boards of Leadership Music, The Nashville Music Council, The Actor's Bridge and Crossroads.Tracy has been honored as the recipient of numerous awards, including Nashville Business Journal's "Woman in Music City" in 2015, 2016 and 2017, as well as Nashville Lifestyles Magazine's top ten "Women In Business" award in 2016.
