As a founder member of the Headland archaeology and current Managing Director, Tim has helped mould Headland into the company it is today. Before becoming involved in archaeology Tim obtained a BSc from Sheffield University and worked for several years as a systems analyst for NCR Ltd. On returning to academia he undertook a PhD from the Institute of Archaeology, U.C.L. and built a reputation as an environmental specialist. He has numerous publications on environmental archaeology, archaeology and historic buildings to his name. Now with over twenty five years experience in commercial archaeology he has managed many post-excavation and fieldwork projects but as Headland expanded has had to acquire new skills, moving from project to business management. Headland Archaeology currently has over 70 employees and three regional offices in the UK for which he takes ultimate responsibility.
