As a well experienced business journalist I take pride in launching newspapers and websites for publishers helping them in establishing great news outlets. For LinkedIn I built the Influencer program and the Pulse Publishing Channel in German speaking Europe. In the years before I've been working for a multitude of German business publications in print an online. Right out of college I started "Immobilien Zeitung", today a major newspaper for the real estate business with a bunch of friends. In Munich I helped Axel Springer to start "Geld Zeitung" and "€uro am Sonntag", and with a great team we built finanzen.net – before the dot.com bubble burst in 2000. A major challenge was integrating trade magazine "Mark und Mittelstand" into the portfolio of publisher Finanzen Verlag. Also for Finanzen Verlag I incorporated all the scattered microsites into one portal. Since then I don't do jokes on web designers anymore. For special publisher Carl Hanser I relaunched trade magazine "MontageTechnik" – and found out that mechanical engineering can actually be quite interesting. For me, there is no such thing as a divide between online- and offline-journalism. It's all about the reader and value of benefit that we can contribute. And the same rules apply for all journalists: hold on to the truth, be thorough in your research and respect the people you write about.
