Recent Ph.D. with research experience in geoscience education, geocognition/environmental psychology, and environmental geology/geochemistry at Auburn University. My work focused on investigating the relationship between environmental risk perceptions and time spent outdoors; motivations, benefits, and barriers of virtual field experiences; and assessing the source, distribution, and attenuation of radon in fractured rock aquifers in northeast Alabama.I previously attended Middle Tennessee State University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Master of Science degree in Professional Science (Environmental Geosystems concentration).I have prior environmental consulting experience with direct involvement in Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, commercial building asbestos inspections, long-term BOD studies, and soil, sediment, and groundwater sampling, as well as assistance with NPDES, SARA, and stormwater permitting.Certifications completed: - ASBOG Fundamentals of Geology (FG) examination - Geologist-In-Training (GIT) - OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response) - OSHA 8-Hour HAZWOPER Supervisor
