The course gives participants the knowledge and hands-on experience on building a robust, well documented RESTful API with various programming languages and frameworks. Participants also learn about OAuth, the simple and secure protocol for remote authorization.During the course participants create a exercise app featuring a server backend and a mobile client. Server backend features an API according to RESTful specification and an OAuth provider implementation. The client app is built on a mobile platform such as Android or iPhone. The client uses the server backend functionalities including the OAuth authorization.

Working as a trainee for Digia was an amazing opportunity to get insight to the life of a humongous software company. During the trainee phase I worked with Qt Quick (QML) which was a whole new tool for building modern user interfaces for native mobile & desktop apps. The result of this agile trainee project was a library of open-source QML UI components.

I served as platoon commander on Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) during my military service. I was discharged as Second Lieutenant.
