I am a Chemical Engineering Technologist with 17 years of experience in the water industry. I have worked on various projects for Local/Provincial and National government as well as International. I have gained sound technical knowledge through my work at various water and wastewater treatment strategies, planning, assessments and including sampling techniques.I have particularly been involved in the development and implementation of municipal risk associated strategies such as Water Safety Planning (WSP) and Auditing, Risk Abatement Planning (Wastewater), Municipal Strategic Self Assessments and Municipal Priority Action Plans. Furthermore, I have been am involved in a DST/WRC project to capacitate District Municipalities in the use of WSPs and W2RAPs, engaging with more than 12 municipalities in this process.I have been working extensively on water quality management projects including in-field water quality analysis, development of monitoring programmes, identification of critical control points, and has assisted municipalities with the DWS Blue Drop Certification Process.I am have been involved in an IWA AquaRating performance assessment method project for Lusaka Water and Sewage Company, Zambia. I have served on various Water Research Commission steering committees, the Western Cape WISA Local Organising Committee, as well as given presentations at a number of conferences/seminars.
