I became the first Pricing Analyst for the bank. I was part of a three men team that introduced Risk-based Pricing to African bank loan products. I practically developed risk-based pricing models using excel by applying the the internal risk rating model which utilised the combination of both the bureau score and the behaviour score for each and every customer resulting in a differentiated funding structure for each risk segment. These resulted in determing the initiation fee, monthly management fee and the interest rate for each product, resulting in the loan book growing from R300million to R1billion.

This was part of the ACCA requirement to serve articles and gain practical experience in the field of audit and accounting. I audited a number of manufacturing, public and financial sector clients.
