Responsibilities on the Project Management role included the following but not limited to these:- Manage engineering projects at various customer sites. - Manage and allocate internal/ external project resources for optimal output. - Award project tender to external contractors in line with company policy and manage project activities - Project budgeting and project financial management. - Scope and design an installation in line with customer specification and requirements. - Forge healthy customer relationships during project execution. - Project quality management monitor workmanship and conduct post project quality evaluations.- Liaise with procurement team in acquiring necessary equipment or resources from external suppliers. - Integrated risk management and other general SHEQ standards and procedures. Technical process design reviews.- Manage/ Coordinate all project activities, complete activities within budget and projected timelines. - Give technical support to the customer operattion of gas suply systems.

Primary responsibility was to ensure that the gold plant operates efficiently and effectively at all times. Other responsibility are as follows;- Coordinate and giving production technical support on a gold plant operation.- Manage and monitor the production team with a complement of +/-26 employees.- Coordinate activities with internal customers and adhere to all Service Level Agreements (SLA's) - Technical training of production team with in-house systems like Planned Tasks Observations (PTO’s).- Ensure that chemicals dosage is adequate to achieve maximum leaching in tanks and controlling production budget. Addition of chemical as per CIP/CIL process requirement. - Inspecting both ball mills to ensure that we have enough ball charge and developing a system to always maintain densities in the mill within range to achieve optimal grinding. - Inspection of cyclone Spigot to make sure that pulp going through the cyclone is correctly classified.- Ensuring that the heap leach is in good operation, chemical addition is within range, making sure that pregnant solution flow-rate form the heap leach is sufficient for maximum absorption of gold through the carbon columns.- Ensuring that all plant equipment is in good operation state and coordinate all maintenance activities with the engineering team.- Handling of safety meetings, discussing safety topics and continuously highlighting dangers in the plants to achieve zero incidents.- Breaking down production strategies and targets from top management to the production team. - Handling of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Management of Change (MOC’s), Risk assessment and other general SHE laws and regulations.

Primary responsibility was to give production technical support and report monthly plants performance. Other tasks were; - Develop and maintain metallurgical accounting systems and report monthly performance thereafter. - Managing hydro metallurgical processes and solving both technical and operational problems related to processes.- Quality control through interpretation of operational data and trends. - Minor project management; scheduling, implementing, commissioning and pre and post project evaluation.- Review Safe Operating Procedures(SOP's) and Process Control Philosophies .- Monitor Effluent treatment process to achieve maximum recovery of precious metals in the waste stream.- Present quarterly plants performance at multilevel meetings.- Review/ update P&ID's and PFD's. Conduct Risk Assessments and HAZOP studies- Conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when necessary- Management of Change (MOC) and other general SHE.

Primary responsibility was to run tests on lab scale and pilot plant for a new process. Other tasks were;- Set up and conduct experiments for the purpose of research on a lab scale- Data collection by sampling throughout experiments and submit for analysis. - Report findings to the Senior process Engineer.

Primary responsibility was to monitor and run hydrometallurgical process as per safe operating procedures;- Data collection by taking samples at specific time intervals and prepare for analysis as per process requirement.- Report any process abnormality to the plant process engineer. - Calibration of process instruments ( pH meters, mV meters and scales)- Prepare chemical make-up and run process on SCADA system.- Metal tracking by recording volumes and masses of metals on each batch processed.- Load batches on the batch management system for accounting purposes. - Transact metal transferred to other departments on MES (Manufacturing Executive System).- Presentation of plants performance at multilevel meetings.- Responsible for housekeeping and other general SHEQ duties. - Working closely with other internal customers i.e. maintenance team

Main purpose was to learn and complete my P1 and P2 as requirement for completing a National Diploma in chemical Engineering. I studied and operated the complicated hydro-metallurgical processes in precious metals refining. Identified and implemented minor projects as per the training manual.
