 Responsible for ensuring that all students have necessary glassware for a particular practical and make a list of glassware that might be broken during the practicals and replace it. Responsible for preparing the chemicals which will be needed during the practicals in large quantities and record the exact concentrations and volume of those chemical solutions.  Responsible for replacing all the faulty equipment in the laboratory such as hot plate and Bunsen burners. Responsible for ensuring that students clean their work station after each practical. Responsible for ensuring that students store their products in the right area/containers particularly for experiments that require overnight reactions or if that product is a by-product for the next practical. Responsible for ensuring that students discard their chemical wastes in the right waste containers and they adhere to all safety rules. Responsible for neutralising all the chemical wastes generated during the semester and to safely discard them and those that cannot be neutralised will be stored safely and be sent to companies for destruction. Responsible for replenishing all the chemicals

 Responsible for guiding first year chemistry students during the practicals, and assisting them in finding out what could be the problem if their solutions do not react. Responsible for ensuring that all students adhere to the laboratory safety standards throughout the practical session and that they discard their chemical wastes in correct waste containers. Responsible for marking the practical reports, compile excel spreadsheet for entering marks and sending the marks to the admin within 7 days after the completion of the practical.
