Station Security Manager

To implement the security division standards and policies within the station area.To provide security of high standard to the Gautrain Customers within the stationTo supervise, manage, command and command the security related staff within the stationTo manage all allocated resources to me for functional utilization by the security personnelTo report to the security Supervisors about all operations and/or security breachTo participate in the planning, organizing and implementation of qualitative security structure to deter and prevent crime related incidents within the station.To implement a monitoring and evaluation process regarding the reporting of all incidents.To analyze the risks and make recommendations regarding security improvements to prevent potential security related problems.Supervising multiple staff, managing high turnover of work, managing stressful emergency situations, communicate with all levels of staff.Ensure timely delivery of all Security reports (internal, BCC, 3rd Parties) Security CA report, Gautrain Rules Recon report, weekly and monthly lost and found item.Put in place and maintain Third Party (SAPS Railway Police, SAPS Station Police and Metro) agreements and liaisons so that BOC can benefit from the expected co-operation and support.Ensure management and updating of security systems: ensure regular audit of systems and practices.

1.Perform border policing at the border gatesPrevent smuggling of illegal good in and out of the countryControl unauthorized or undocumented access into the countrySearch all persons and vehicles entering and leaving the countryCheck all vehicle status before leaving the country (if stolen)Crime prevention in and outside the border surroundingsCheck all person’s criminal status before leaving the country (if wanted) Patrol the perimeter fence of the border2. Access Control at entrances of restricted premises/ areas/ venues via Bio-MetricProtect Lives and assets of identified VIPEscort visitors in the premisesRegulate unauthorized access in to the premisesSearch visitors and their vehicles before and after entering the premises Record all visitors in the visitor’s register and issue permits Patrol inner and outer perimeter of the premises3. To monitor all operations of the division: Protection and Security Service and limit the impact of all incidents when they have occurred. Monitoring of different operations within the specific work area.Monitor radio and telephone systems as per SOPTrack vehicles, ships, aircrafts, trains and awaiting trail prisoners.Track cargo and convoys on an on going basis as per MISSMonitor routes and traffic as per MISSMonitor weather and assist motorcades during traveling Monitor live audio and visual of identified installations through CCTVMonitor incidents in an appropriate and efficient manner thereby reducing danger, harm, and embarrassment and minimizing the impact thereof.Provide clear procedures to operational members as per contingency planning during an incident.Take part in crime prevention operations at Railway environment.Perform static guard service at strategic installations and ministerial residencePerform protection duties in major eventsValuable cargos are protected and monitored while in transit.Protect identified VIP while in transit and at their residences
