- Providing Project Cost Estimating Support.- Integrated cost estimates with the project schedule to create cost forecast and time phased budgets.- Developed Excel based data model for companies to streamline bid submittal and spend plan.- Developed Excel based Project Controls data model. The model included baseline budgeting, forecasting, change management, progress measurement. The model was based on principles of Earned Value Management.- Provided consulting and recommendations for business strategies in Alaska Oil & Gas markets.

Manage and oversee project controls for Alaska GPO projects. Responsible for project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, progress measurement, forecasting and reporting. Manage in-house and contracted project controls personnel. Establish operating policies and procedures to delivery timely and accurate cost and schedule information. Ensure benchmarking and documentation supports cost estimates. Responsible for training and staffing of estimating department. Familiar with Alaska's challenging weather and logistical constraints.

Oversee and produce cost estimates for BP's Western Regional Development (WRD) project. Develop estimate plans, consolidate estimates from contractors, apply regional overview, recommend contingency. Ensure appropriate estimating methodology is being used. Provide benchmarking . Develop and produce Basis of Estimate and Benchmarking Reports. Assist with forecasting and contract dispute claims. Validate progress accurate progress measurement. Provide recommendations and control mechanisms for contracts. Perform variance analysis.

Develop detailed construction cost estimates and schedules for Mining and Oil & Gas projects. Projects ranged from Marine Terminal modifications, Truck-able module fabrication and installations, Sealift module fabrication and installation, Process facility revamp, Modifications to process equipment in major mining operations, Missile Defense, etc..Our department was bidding 3 to 7 projects a week. Being able to keep up with this demand required new tools to be developed. I developed a parametric estimating model and several Excel based tools to facilitate rapid development of estimates and resource loaded schedules.On occasion I would fill in for Project Management Staff when and where needed.
