CurrentSenior Mechanical Engineer – focus on research, design development, and testing● Conceptualize and develop novel products and product improvements for the robotics and expeditionary industries● Responsible for identifying, evaluating, developing, and testing emerging materials and technologies to improve durability, cost, weight, and other beneficial properties● Design and implement new test procedures for validating materials and products● Lead multiple team multimillion-dollar project to design next generation of expeditionary shelter systems composed of novel concepts and materials● Lead development and testing of inflating pile bore expansion device capable of compressing soil to enlarge holes, and withstanding an internal pressure of 400 psi at a diameter of 31”● Lead development and testing of prototype to hide heat signatures from drone IR cameras● Create and update statements of work and budget schedules● Assign tasks to personnel and allocate resources in order to meet milestones on schedule● Coordinate with engineers, production crews, clients, and suppliers across multiple time zones to create effective prototypes that exceed client expectations● Create and deliver weekly status reports, monthly performance quad charts for Senior Leadership Team, and periodic presentations● Create new shelter design process allowing new design opportunities, resulting in a patent● Evaluated power output characteristic of the WOLF, a robotic mule, identifying bugs in the new hardware and software, and implementing solutions● Aid robotics team making arms submersible by developing necessary sealing methods and compensation bladders. Design installation tools to reduce gland failure during assembly.● Train sales teams and field service representatives on new products
