Imagine a world where everyone can easily use technology with no limitations. That's the future that we should be designing for. I am the first-generation college student, striving to pursue a career in UI/UX industry. As a first-generation college student from Myanmar (Burma), my determination to continue my education led me to study in the United States. My search of passion has started after high school when I studied for diploma in Business Information Technology. During the course, I found myself captivated by crafting accessible and user-centered product designs. I have started with web-developing which introduced me to the User Experience and User Interface industry. Since then, I have been investing my time in building my UI/UX skills. My experience as a writing peer tutor where I helped students from different backgrounds with writing and navigating courses had shed a light on me. It gave me the awareness of accessibility challenges in our daily lives. I want to bridge that gap by creating simple, intuitive, and inclusive UX/UI designs. During my Product & Innovations internship at Bremer Bank, I honed my UI/UX skills through usability testing and collaborating with the technology team to deliver successful digital products. Balancing my life between school and part-time jobs, I have never stopped improving. My keen interest fueled my continuous skill development.
