As an officer of the company, I facilitate the numerous changes and needs for improvement for the organization. This includes working with the finance, operations, and sales teams on a regular basis. Current projects include a new accounting ERP solution, a new project management software solution, a new time tracking solution, and integration of all these systems together.A growing company always looks for ways to be more effective and to challenge its employees for greatness.

As the Sr Director of Facilities, I help manage the engineering, general maintenance, grounds, biomedical engineering, construction, security, and environmental services for the 222 bed, level 2 trauma main hospital and clinics in Kern County. Combined, this includes 16 facilities, 25 acres of property, and over 500k sf of hospital and clinical space.My team is also heavily involved in all Joint Commission and regulatory requirements placed on medical facilities as well as OSHPD compliance with fire life safety in construction projects.

As an officer of the organization, I was directly involved with many aspects of the company and helped guide future progress towards a more safe and successful business. The Ops Group consisted of 6 departments:- Facilities / Maintenance Team- SWAT Team (Project Management)- Operations Management Group- Organizational Training / Development - Talent Acquisition / Recruitment- Fleet MaintenanceCombined, these departments had 31 employees as a nation-wide team.Almost every operational aspect of Rain for Rent funneled through the operations group; branch construction, bid preparation/estimating, new product development, general SOP creation, new branch start-ups, facility upkeep, management/field training, project management, contract negotiations, fleet maintenance of over $600M in assets, national recruiting efforts, etc. I was tasked to ensure that the organization remained profitable on every project through proper scope/estimating practices, proper field installation methods, and proper expense recovery efforts.

Acted as interim department manager for the safety organization of the company during a time of increasing safety risks. During this time, we implemented new onboarding training procedures, short service employee (SSE) training programs, OSHA field protocols, new software tracking program rollout, and standard branch inspections to help bring the company's OSHA recordable rate lower.Implemented the new regional safety manager position to engage the field and have better safety awareness on a field level. These combined efforts helped trim our OSHA rate in half over a few short months time.

This group supported local branches with large projects needing additional oversight and management professionals. When large projects occur, the SWAT Team was directly involved; from Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, to emergency sewer bypasses of up to 120 MGD (85,000gpm), to storm runoff relief (500,000 gpm).With 9 members of the SWAT Team, this department averaged $12M in revenue each year from its various projects throughout the US/Canada. Our goal was to provide a full service to all our customers throughout the nation, and the team is dedicated to ensuring that all large, complex projects are executed on time, in budget, and safely.

As the first construction manager at the corporate office, my duties were to infuse the company with new ideas in estimating, cost controls, construction BMP's, and labor recovery efforts. Rain for Rent has grown from a rental equipment provider to a full, turn-key liquid handling solution for our customers.It did not take long for the owners of the company to realize the need for a construction management approach in their company.

Managed heavy civil construction projects ranging from large underground pipelines to concrete structures (pump stations, treatment facilities, etc) to earth levees.Last project was a $40M water treatment plant build.
