Extensive experience in the design and modification of power plants as a Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer, and Site Engineering Manager. The types of power plants include fossil (natural gas and coal) and nuclear with some experience in geothermal and thermal solar. • Develop system designs or modifications, Piping &Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), calculations, specifications, general arrangements and other design drawings and documents based on project / client requirements including applicable codes and standards.• Direct the development of detailed design drawings; reviewed and approved.• Coordinate with other discipline team members and provide direction to junior engineers.• Review design documents of other disciplines and provide mechanical input• Lead or support internal project design reviews and external design reviews with the client &/or vendors.• Provide input and status updates to project management including on budget and schedule.• Interface with client and provide discipline input at project meetings including with vendors & clients.• Assemble technical parts of procurement packages for equipment and services and perform bid evaluations• Manage vendor contracts including reviewing drawings, coordinating other disciplines & client input, resolving comments, and providing the technical input for contract change orders; review required inspections and test results; review invoices.• Support site personnel• Update the necessary program documentation requirements• For proposals, perform studies and provide technical input. Provide manpower budgeting, material and equipment cost estimates and planning / schedule development. Perform site walkdowns and other data collection as required including input from site personnel and relevant vendors.Computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, AFT Fathom and Arrow, Smartplant P&ID, and Smartplant Review, knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation
