Other responsibilities include: Led and influenced large workforces, complex operations and multi-billion dollar budgets to drive productivity and measureable success throughout 12 commands.Guided and mentored 4 Flag Officers, 1 Senior Executive Service, 8 Command Senior Enlisted Leaders, 8 Fleet Logistics Centers with 1,071 enlisted, 456 officers and 7,573 civilians during an enterprise realignment that increased dynamic global logistics support.For over 24 months he led a team of 10 Senior Logistics Specialists and was the lead in the Navy’s Ready Relevant Training initiatives for the Logistics Specialists Rating. The Logistics Specialists manage inventories of repair parts and general supplies that support ships, squadrons, Seabee battalions, and shore-based activities. For 36 months he was integrated with NAVSUP's efforts to support Naval Aviation through expediting, forecasting, coordinating, commercial partnerships, analyzing, resolving, evaluating, initiating, and monitoring the entire management parts and services to the Navy's aircraft. LONG LASTING LEGACY:Showcased diversity and inclusion by spearheading the last phase of aligning all NAVSUP’s Supply Enlisted Ratings to a name that modernizes to today’s Navy standards in alignment with today’s industry standards and expectations. This instrumental change, the first since 1943, provided an enlisted rating title that more closely reflects the important work Retail Services Specialist (formally known as Ship’s Serviceman) perform daily.

The Command Master Chief (CMC) is the senior enlisted person at a command who works as a liaison between the Commanding Officer and the enlisted ranks, serving as the senior enlisted leader. In this capacity, the CMC assists the commanding officer in issues of quality of life, discipline, training, and morale on a forward deployed ship within the 7th Fleet.Other responsibilities include:Participated in formulating and implementing policies concerning morale, welfare, job satisfaction, discipline, utilization, and training of Navy enlisted personnel. Led 300 Sailors in the “day to day” operations, long term planning, and maintenance of a multi-billion dollar Ballistic Missile Defense Aegis Cruiser.Solid experience in the development and administration of annual budgets, cost containment, purchasing, and inventory control.Scheduled and conducted comprehensive inspection program on industrial hygiene, safety, facilities management, and fiscal accountability.Managed 20 programs related to recognition, morale, physical fitness, career, professional development, mentorship, drug deterrence, and family advocacy. Programs evaluated included medical readiness; air warfare efficiency; flight operations; maintenance efficiency and retention excellence.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:As a Crisis Management Expert I led a crew of 225 during an unusually challenging operational no notice National Ballistic Missile Defense tasking two days before Christmas in 2014 that lasted several weeks into the New Year.As an exceptional motivator, I forged an enthusiastic, energetic, and superbly skilled team that maintained an impossible record of success through the following challenges: National Theater Anti-Submarine Warfare tasking, Mid-Cycle Assessment, NAVSAFECDEN inspection, a 24 million dollar Dry Docking Selective Restrictive Availability, a subsequent ship Light-Off Assessment, and a 3M Maintenance Certification.
Supply Enlisted Community Manager Lead Advisor
As an advisor to the Supply Enlisted Community Manager I supported the Chief of Naval Operations, Navy Manpower, and Navy Enterprises to provide accession, promotion, retention, and conversion plans for 18,000 Sailors while utilizing force shaping tools and special pays and incentive programs to meet the Navy's end-strength demand signals for individual ratings and the Navy aggregate of 320,000 Sailors.Other responsibilities include:Assisted in the management of Sailors who received high year tenure waivers, developing recruiting requirements, and set advancement quotas for 9,000 Logistics Specialists, 6,000 Culinary Specialists, and 3,000 Retail Services Specialists.Established and monitored career development, sea/shore flow, and analyzed the impact of proposed policy changes on a community of over 18,000 Sailors.Directly support all efforts under Title 10 of the United States Code, to conduct all the affairs of the Department of the Navy, including: recruiting, organizing, supplying, equipping, training, mobilizing, and demobilizing.Orchestrated several “face to face” Supply Enlisted Roadshows to Fleet Concentration areas providing invaluable career mentorship to over 5000 Sailors via in person, videos, email, and other social media application.
Supply Services Master Chief
Instrumental in the management of inventory valued over 1.5 million regarding retail and food line items. Today this book is displayed in all Navy Exchanges and has been adopted in our character training in building tomorrow’s leaders.Coordinated ceremonial honors and was selected by his department to provide remarks to the entire crew for a fallen Master Chief during a deployment. His remarks included statements from one of the Navy’s Fleet Master Chiefs as well as the NAVSUP Command Master Chief.

This book tells the story of those thousands of unheralded sailors of African descent who served in frontline combat with fellow "messmen" of Filipino, Guamanian, and Chinese ancestry from the first day of World War II to the last.Selected in 2008 to assist Navy leadership in organization and coordination of a ceremony that recognized Sailors who served in the Navy's Messman and Steward Ratings at the Naval Academy.In 2009 under his direct leadership and correlation to nominations of East Coast Surface Ships for the CAPT Edward F. Ney Award winning every category. Ships nominated held very high inventory management practices and zero record discrepancies.
