Converted the shop from a Windows environment to a Linux environment, running 3-tier Java/J2EE servers for approximately 500 individual websites, including high-profile sites such as the www.scientology.org, www.dianetics.org, www.volunteerministers.org, etc. Installed & managed Java applications based on Sun Java System Application Server, Apache, Tomcat, and Caucho Resin, with SSL implementations on each. Managed implementation of a version-controlled file management and deployment system for all websites using Subversion, and used this also for configuration management across all Internet systems. As part of responsibilities on this position, also was in charge of all messaging servers, anti-spam and mail filtering systems, DNS servers, and database servers – all of which were either Linux or Solaris. Did extensive modifications to Perl-based mail filters to suit the needs of the organization, as well as day-to-day scripting tasks for backup and other administration duties.
