I am committed to becoming a professional transportation engineer and am well on my way to completing that goal. There is a vast amount of knowledge and experience to be attained after college and that is what motivates me everyday to become a better and better aspiring professional engineer. Key academic accomplishments begin with the receiving of my Associates of Science degree in Engineering from San Juan College, located in Farmington, NM. Upon receiving my degree I graduated with Emeritus achievement, thus making me the top engineering student for the Class of 2012. Following that key success, I transferred to the University of New Mexico to obtain a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation engineering. Keeping an above 3.0 GPA throughout my college education, it has allowed be to be a part of the national civil engineering honor society, Chi Epsilon. Also I am the current vice president of the UNM American Indian Science and Engineering Society and the current president of the UNM Institute of Transportation Engineers Student Chapter. These organizations have allowed me to expand my leadership role and provide many opportunities to network outside of UNM. They are organizations that I aspire to be a part of professionally as I continue to work towards graduating college.
