With over 20 years of experience in the GIS field, I am a passionate leading team member and versatile professional who can design, implement, and maintain GIS solutions for various organizations and purposes. I have a GISP certification and I am pursuing a PhD in information science to enhance my knowledge and skills in this domain. Currently, I am a Transportation Supervising Planner for the Connecticut Department of Transportation Enterprise GIS Data Management, Integration, and Governance Team, where I am responsible for supervising the Enterprise GIS and Data unit in aiding to accomplish the Department’s goals regarding data-driven decision making, automated data-driven processes, and asset data management. I am leading the Unit in accomplishing a variety of tasks to help meet overall Department goals related to geographic information systems (GIS) utilization, data visualization, and data analysis. Besides my technical expertise, I also have a strong background in teaching and mentoring. I am the creator and instructor of the GIS Certificate program at Central Connecticut State University, where I have developed original curriculum and taught GIS courses for over 12 years. I am also a founding member and regular facilitator of the annual GIS Day Event for the State of Connecticut, where I showcase the latest developments and applications of GIS to the public and peers. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion for GIS with others, and I am always eager to learn new things and take on new challenges.
