I have a track record of positioning people to meet or exceed their goals. I have done that through a work career that has spanned four continents.My early work career was spent training for and then serving as a cross-cultural team lead for a major non-profit, first in Southern Africa and then in Taipei, Taiwan, where I led a team of 21 other field workers.In 2007 a career change was required when my family and I were not able to return to Taiwan due to a family member needing our care in Texas. It was a radical shift from front-line cross-cultural team builder to needing to live in the USA again.I was blessed to have a job offered to me to come to work at The Karis Group, an Austin, Texas-based missional company, first as Implementation Manager. That was in 2009. Later, in 2011, I was a part of the Karis team that developed our ground-breaking Karis360 service.In 2012, I was promoted to Vice President of Technology at The Karis Group and was a part of the development team which launched a faith-based alternative to health insurance. As our business has grown, my involvement with developing non-profit clients steadily increased.Additionally, I was part of the launch team for Sedera Health in 2013 and 2014.Beginning in 2015, I was successful at bringing churches and non-profits aboard what was known as Karis Health Choice, resulting in a new position, namely Vice President of Business Development for Karis Health Choice in early 2017. In 2019 with some strategic shifts at The Karis Group, I came to realize I love helping individuals, business and non-profits discover a better way to health care! That has led to my September 2019 transition to working with what is one of the most innovative, next-generation, insurance brokerages in the nation, Clearwater Benefits.
