Current- Optimized contactless transactions to meet requirements (reducing from over 200ms to under 90ms per transaction) by profiling and improving company's contactless stack.- Led development of a firmware bundle (bootloader, kernel and application layer firmware services) for product validation and hardware debugging, collaborating with the hardware team.- Reduced C++ project build time from 40 mins to under 9 mins by analysing and optimising the build process, leveraging expertise on C++ compiling and linking.- Developed Linux kernel drivers and services for payment terminals (iMX6 and iMX8).- Added USB composite device driver in a FreeRTOS-based firmware for ARM based display units.- Implemented bare-metal firmware for payment terminal ARM based receipt printers.- Added build support scripts to automate our build process.- Integrated unit tests into CI/CD pipeline for robust embedded software testing.- Collaborated cross-functionally to resolve system-level issues and optimize device performance.- Conducted regular peer code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
