Welcome to my profile!I have unexpectedly (but not surprisingly!) found my passion in the Supply Chain area, even though my background is in Nutrition & Dietetics. In my home country - Brazil - having a Dietitian managing end-to-end food & beverage production is very customary (even mandatory in some cases!). When I arrived overseas, I found out that for many countries that is not the case at all!Well, Supply Chain is the field! I was overjoyed to have the opportunity to broaden my knowledge by receiving my master’s degree from the MIT Global SCALE Network program!I have experience in Food Production Services Management and a strong focus on planning, inventory management on top of my existing nutritionist’s responsibilities such as nutritional, quality, and regulatory aspects, as well as cross-communication with different departments, suppliers and clients. Those Managing skills were sharpened during my role as teacher assistant in which I co-advised student’s capstones, oversaw the laboratory analysis as well as the use and purchasing of reagents and materials.I believe that analytical skills are a big part of a work life, but the cognitive aspects often times break the tie when the stakes are high in a corporation. It was very clearly highlighted during covid times!
