I received my bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) in 2004 and my master’s degree in environmental engineering from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in 2007. I was an intern at EAWAG, Switzerland, and at CAR, Brazil, where I worked for two years before moving to the USA. In 2007, I started to work at CEPEMAR as an environmental engineer. There, I worked on air quality management projects in Brazil and in the Middle East, one US EPA Grant on Solid Waste Management, and a large successful proposal for a 5 years contract on coastal and ocean marine monitoring program for Petrobras. Most of the projects were conducted with a diverse group from different companies, professional expertise, cultures, and countries. I not only participated in these diverse teams but also managed some of them. Back in Brazil, I worked at Interage Eng. on the development of three residential projects. As a developer, I participated in the process from the land acquisition deal to construction to sales. After that, I started and ran for two years a small consulting firm that provided aerial, 3D, and virtual tour images and videos to construction sites and real estate companies.Currently, I am in Jupiter, FL. My professional experience includes writing proposals and grant requests, developing budgets and schedules, managing contracts and subcontractors, permitting, drafting technical reports, aerial photography, and project development and management.My interests include standup paddling, video and photography, drones, tennis, books, trips, a mug of hot cocoa or tea, and time with friends and family. I love traveling, learning, storytelling, and collaborative environments.
