I have under taken my six month Industrial training at Design Innovation Center (DIC) at UIET, Panjab University. The MHRD approved the establishment of DIC at Panjab University, Chandigarh to focus on innovations around engineering products and to add value to the available engineering designs. At DIC,I worked on a project titled "OCR Based Speech Synthesis", in which optical character recognition was established using NI Vision Assistant wherein the live image signals from an android smartphone are received and image processing is done over them in order to determine the words contained in the images and all the OCR recognition is combined with text to speech synthesis to enable speech synthesis wherein the recognized text is spoken by the Laptop.

As Executive Officer of the Branch, I manage and coordinate all the activities of the student branch and my primary responsibility is to improve student branch activities.
