With over 12 years of experience in Auditing, Accounting, and Finance, I am a passionate and driven professional who strives to deliver high-quality results and insights for stakeholders. As a Manager of Internal Audit at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), I lead and execute audits of various departments across BHEL's Trichy and Thirumayam units, ensuring compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulations. I am also a qualified Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, with additional certifications in derivatives and Leadership and change Management, advanced financial management from IIM Trichy & XLRI . I have a strong domain expertise in corporate financial reporting, strategic financial management, and risk management, and I enjoy teaching and mentoring aspiring CMA students at the Tiruchirapalli chapter of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India.In my current role, I am responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting audits of various functions, such as finance, human resources, procurement, production, Logistics etc, in accordance with the approved plan of the Unit Level Audit Committee. I apply my analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to identify and assess risks, controls, and gaps, and provide recommendations for improvement and remediation. I also liaise with the external auditors, management, and audit committee, and present my findings and suggestions in a clear and concise manner. Additionally, I serve on the board of BHEL Educational Society, which runs ten schools in BHEL Township, catering to more than 17,000 students. As a treasurer, I oversee the financial management and governance of the society, I am proud to be part of a team that contributes to the education and development of the future generation.
