During this period I ran two metallurgical plants producing Zircon and Rutile. Metallurgical quality control process utilized involved the following metallurgical equipment: Sluices, electrostatic separators (HTRs, Plates and Screen plates) , magnetic separator, leaching vessel, dryers and pre heaters. Daily duties involved monitoring day-to-day plant performance in terms of quality and yield, process managing and optimization, reconciliation of process data, coaching plant supervisors and operators on plant, responding to customer complains, dealing with equipment suppliers, and producing weekly, monthly and yearly reports.process control. Developing standard operating procedures, Job hazard analysis and otherprocess safety documents. Analyzing monthly and yearly production figures. highlight was when I commissioned 60 new HTR machines, in different plant circuits. During this project I identified all running parameters for optimum quality and improved production yield.

During this period I worked at Iron processing plant, where we were refining, and casting molten iron into different pig iron grades, through desulphurization, dephosphorization, recarburizing etc. I handled different process optimization projects, these included, Optimization of cooling system ( spray coolers and air cooling periods), casting strands coating, ladle life improvement (testing different refractory lining), Optimization of pig iron screening process and Testing of different reagents used in the refining process.
