I have completed my seven-and-a-half-year term as the Chief Trade Consul and Head of the Vietnam Trade Office at the Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco, California. After returning to Vietnam in September, 2024, I am in the process of resuming my work at the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) of Vietnam.From January 2017 to August 2024, I represented the MOIT and was responsible for trade and investment promotion between Vietnam and 11 states in the western United States, including California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Alaska, Hawaii, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Colorado. In this role, I worked closely with both Vietnamese and American companies to facilitate business opportunities and promote economic cooperation. My efforts contributed to strengthening trade relations, fostering economic growth, and creating new opportunities for businesses on both sides of the Pacific.I have been with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam since July 2002, serving as a trade and investment promotion expert. With over 20 years of experience at MOIT, including seven and a half years in the United States, I have developed a deep understanding of the trade landscape and business cultures in both Vietnam and the U.S. My responsibilities at MOIT included state management, coordination, and implementation of trade and investment promotion activities in Vietnam. I have also supported both Vietnamese and foreign enterprises in their business development and expansion.Before joining the public sector, I gained valuable experience in the private sector as a sales representative at Samsung Vina Electronics, Hanoi Branch, where I managed the company's distribution network in Hanoi and the Red River Delta.I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Hanoi National Economics University and a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from the University of Technology, Sydney.
