https://linktr.ee/jacktran01Years ago I was a Software Engineer struggling to get job offers and interviews back when tech was booming.After hearing about stories of my friends getting multiple offers from top tech companies, I realized I needed to take action for my careerI wanted to get better in my job searches so I decided to try interview prep companies and they sucked. They place you into a large class of over 30 students and teach you things you could have just learned on youtube. They don’t know what my situation was, I interviewed for Data Engineering roles, and they never responded with help. I had a Meta Interview Final Round, when I asked for help, it was crickets.Fed up with the souless factory-like system of the interview prep programs, I basically sought out to create my own program for myself.The program consisted of creating a Job Search and Interview Prep Plan tailored for myself and when my upcoming interviews were happening. Going through Coding, System Design, and Behavioral prep along with mock interviews, followed by a systemic job search.At first I wasn’t totally confident in myself since I was just a student from an interview prep program myself but after going through my own interview process I started to always get to onsites.I got 6 job offers in my job search and finally felt like I conducted a proper job search for the first time in my life with options to negotiate job offers.
