About Thania Lopez

In May 2014, I completed my undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University having earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a Minor in History. I also completed a second Bachelor's degree in Economics in May 2015 while also taking classes for a Paralegal’s Certificate through San Francisco State University’s College of Extended Learning. I began my Juris Doctorate degree at Santa Clara Law School in Fall 2016, and expect to graduate in the Spring of 2019.I have worked/volunteered for many non-profit organizations and programs that promote access to higher education and empower students to utilize their resources. I have experience in working with at-risk and low income minority youth, and have served as a mentor and role model to elementary, middle, and high school students in the city and county of San Francisco. Having also planned events with attendance of over 400 students, teachers, and parents, I am also skilled with event planning and public speaking. My passion is working with low income minority groups and providing legal help to those who cannot afford an attorney. I hope to work for a non-profit law organization, and become a licensed attorney.

    San Francisco Bay Area
Rinse is creating a seamless dry cleaning laundry experience designed entirely around your needs. We pick-up and drop-off at your door. We deliver on your schedule. We provide full transparency with everything we do. Some see it as revolutionary. We see it as common sense. Our world-class customer service is something we take immense pride in. Service is meaningless without quality, though. We only work with incredibly qualified cleaners, and we inspect every item we receive, so that the clothes you get back are spotless and ready for action. We are proud of what we do because it’s a reflection of where we come from. James (our co-founder) grew up working in his parents' shop in South San Francisco, where they’ve been for 20+ years. For every item we clean, we have one main goal: make Mom and Dad proud.Operations Associates are pre-qualified to batch-out customer items, batch-in items returned from vendors, create customer name tags and new bags, and other office related timely tasks. Working approximately 30 hours per week, Operations Associates work both individually to batch out all of our customer orders (sometimes more than 200 in one day), and as a team to help each other when issues are faced and need to be reported to the Customer Experience team and to Management. Operations Associates are the inventory specialists of the company, and are always relied upon to help make our customer's experience with Rinse a positive one, and to help keep basic operations of the company flowing.

    San Francisco
CollegeSpring partners with schools and community organizations to help students from low-income backgrounds boost SAT scores, navigate college admissions and financial aid, and confidently pursue college degrees.CollegeSpring mentors work to give all students the opportunity to choose a four-year college by tutoring high school juniors and helping them to prepare in-depth for the SAT. Mentors learn to teach and to teach well. We facilitate discussion and provide the skilled guidance needed to help students really “get it.” In the intimacy of a small-group setting, we help students clarify confusing concepts and sharpen their skills in order to achieve the SAT scores they need to succeed. We also prepare students for college admissions and financial aid, so that this one first step, taking the SAT, becomes the beginning of a successful college journey. As college students, we serve as much more than just tutors. We lead by example, helping high school students gain confidence in their own ability to not only go to college, but to be high-achievers and leaders on campus. As near-peer role models, our stories become key assets as we help students realize that taking the SAT and applying to college, which may seem like daunting obstacles, are actually achievable.CollegeSpring mentors are dedicated, passionate strivers in the classroom and beyond. Mentors come from all sorts of colleges, majors, and walks of life, but share a firm belief in educational equity and the desire to make a concrete difference.

As an undergraduate intern at the San Francisco Superior Court, I had the opportunity to shadow a judicial officer, observe various court hearings, and assist the family law clerks. As part of the Judicial Internship course offered at San Francisco State University, I had the opportunity to shadow the Commissioner whom oversaw the Child Support calendar, and met with her 10 hours per week. During this time, I was also exposed to several other areas of the law (Probate, Guardianship/Conservatorship, Small Claims, Civil Harassment, and Criminal law), and met one-on-one with many of the presiding judges. When the semester came to a close, and my time as an intern was coming to an end, I asked the Commissioner if I could stay a few extra weeks to learn more about the California Court System and the Family Law department. During my extra time, I served as an assistant to Family Law clerks by providing them copies, filing legal documents, scanning files into their Integrated Justice System (IJS), mailing out dissolution judgments, and organizing judicial files.
